2021’s gone bye

all through
another year ‘ the depleted city
we move through
all ‘i’s
another year in the depleting city

caught between
images of and in double
gazed
glazing over the depleting in the city

change and Fall
all through
‘i’s keep spinning
petals ‘ turn pages
caught in the depleted city

all runs move
memories through
glaze, ney gaze
all runs through
those flowers ‘ thrive
‘i’s in this city

no glitch, just shimmer
all ‘i’s
another year
we move through
change and Fall
keep spinning ‘i’s all
in our city

It’s been another ish-year: 2021. And as I look back now, Bank holiday #2, December 28, I am taken to moments in the year in which I can only semi-recollect. You know the struggled thought-feeling I mean; its the one where your body recalls sensations felt only in grainy luminosity. That rose, so Crimson no Cardinal, Coral? remember… As memories fallen into one’s body, these sensations, not down, appear to me at least as alive. Hopeful even.

It would be easy to cast off 2021, as another year gone, but perhaps grainy luminosity is a better way to recollect it. After all, the joy here is in the feeling of memories gone by not in the gazing at them – bye.
